More than Thanksgiving

I wanted to give thanks to all of you serving or communities and country. As Thanksgiving approaches in a couple of days, it reminds me of all I am to be thankfull for. I appreciate the opportunity to serve all of you in this manner and look forward to what more I can do for you in the future.

Be safe and continue to strive for excellence.

Attention to Detail

In one of the last episodes of the Academy, the captain was very serious about having an “attention to detail.” He was really pissed off because he gave specific instructions that were not followed. The underlying issue was not that they forgot to pick up the trash or sweep a certain area; it was because when you are faced with tough conditions and situations you must be ready and have the attention for details, so nothing nor no-one is left behind.

From a training aspect, how often do you stop short on the last set, rep or at all? Do you lose focus when you are fatigued or sore? What is your attention to detail?

Keep that in mind when you are training in the gym, because just like practicing putting out a fire or shooting a target, your attention to detail will help define you when the situation is real.

Veterans Day

I am so proud to be an American and this is a day that reminds me why. Thank you to all of the troops and first responders for all you do for my freedom, liberty and justice.

The Academy

Over the weekend I was flipping through the TV to find something other than bad old movies and came across the Fox Reality show The Academy
